Rochester’s upcoming Greentopia Film Festival will take place on March 17-21, 2015.
Greentopia | FILM is currently seeking festival submissions of films that focus on proactive, positive activities that individuals and/or organizations are undertaking to build the community in an environmentally-sound way. Submissions that are chosen should have the power to inspire, transform, and empower viewers to create changes in their lives and communities that will lead to a more sustainable environment and way of life.
To encourage and help underwrite innovative submissions, Greentopia’s Community Supported Films is offering three $1000 stipends and all-festival passes to three filmmakers for “works that tell a story of something happening in the Greater Rochester area that embraces the concept of sustainability or community building in some way. We look for positive success stories – no docs trying to expose some injustice.”
The deadline for all proposals is December 5, 2014 at Midnight. If selected, all filmmakers will be contacted on or before December 15, 2014 to begin production.
All films must be 3-4 minutes in length, produced in HD1080 and delivered as a Quicktime file by March 1, 2015.
Proposals must include:
- A filmmaker bio
- Contact info
- Treatment outlining the story or concept of the film
- Samples of past work.
