This Winter, Don’t Just Chill…Learn a New Skill!
Ever notice that people seem to be more and more strapped for time? We have. That’s the reason we’ve decided to offer shorter format classes for the Winter 2016 season.
All of the classes that we’ll be offering this season will be four weeks in length, and the pricing has been adjusted accordingly. We’re also arranging them so you can complete one class and jump into the next logical class, if you wish. So, in a mere four weeks, we’ll get you up and running on the following classes:
- TV Studio Production – Tuesday, January 26 through Tuesday, February 16 from 6 to 7:30 PM. At the end of this 4 week class that will give you all the basics of producing your own in-studio television program, we plan to launch a new production co-op that will allow a group of certified producers to work together to produce each other’s shows. Following the successful completion of this class, you will be certified to use RCTV’s in-studio equipment (Please note that we must have a minimum of 8 students to offer this class).
- Adobe Premiere Digital Editing, Level 1 – Tuesday, February 23 through Tuesday, March 15 from 6-7:30 PM. The perfect follow-up class to TV Studio Production, this class presents a step-by-step tutorial of everything you need to know to edit polished, fun and dynamic video projects. Following the successful completion of this class, you will be certified to use RCTV’s editing lab. (Please note that we can accommodate up to 10 people, and this class sells out quickly!)
Basics of Videography –Session 1: Saturday, February 6-27 from 1 to 3 PM; Session 2: Saturday, March 5-26 from 1 to 3 PM. This class gives you the basics of doing field work with a video camera and covers camera operation, lighting, sound and fieldwork. Following the successful completion of this class, you will be certified to check out RCTV’s field work video cameras and lighting and sound equipment. (Please note that a refundable $50 cash deposit is required to check out RCTV equipment). Please note that this can be given as a customized class to groups of five or more.
The Class fee is $60 for all each four-week class, and to take the classes, you must be a member or register for a one-year RCTV membership. The fee for an individual one-year RCTV Membership is $60.
