In Question Bridge, a provocative transmedia exhibit that will be featured at the Rochester Contemporary Art Center from October 3 through November 16, artists and filmmakers Chris Johnson, Hank Willis Thomas, Kamal Sinclair, and Bayeté Ross Smith traversed the country gathering over 1500 questions and filming responses from over 150 black men on what it means to be a black male in America today. RCTV is proud to be a sponsor of this innovative exhibit that has been featured at art centers and museums across the country.
In addition to sponsoring the event, RCTV will also be mounting a multi-media presentation, that will be on view in ROCO’s Lab Space throughout Question Bridge. The exhibit is called Dialogues: Young Men of Color and explores the experiences of black, Latino, and South East Asian young men in Rochester, by engaging them in discussion on the challenges and triumphs in education, economics, employment, entertainment and criminal justice.
The opening reception for these exhibits is on Friday, October 3 from 6 to 10 PM. There will be additional community discussions held at ROCO on Wednesdays and Fridays during the exhibition, with schedule to follow.
Please join us at ROCO to experience this unique and important exhibition.
