Youth Interns Hone Skills, Speak Their Minds During 2021 Summer of Opportunity Program

ROCHESTER, NY -- In August, RCTV wrapped up a six-week long summer internship in media production through the City of Rochester's Summer of Opportunity Program.

Our youth interns learned how to create a virtual reality video, host a live radio show, produce a local history podcast... even do a little gardening!

The interns also taught RCTV staff a lot about the latest tech and social media trends, as well as youth perspectives on Black Lives Matter, COVID, and more.

RCTV is proud to say that we were their first job, and we can't wait to see what these brilliant young people do next.
